Course Content | |||||||||||||
The course focuses on data analysis by using the linear regression model. Emphasis will be put on obtaining an intuitive understanding of the regression model, in particular in order to be able to interpret the parameters of the regression model. The course will also focus on applying the regression model to concrete economic problems. | |||||||||||||

The purpose of this course is to give students an insight into how to apply statistical methods and models to a relevant topic in economics working with economic data. After completing the course the student should be able to: Knowledge: - explain the basic econometrics concepts in relation to the linear regression model Skills: - Apply data to analyse specific economic problems - perform estimations and hypothesis test of parameters in linear regression models Competences: - do basic econometric analyses - interpret the results from basic econometric analyses and make relevant conclusion based upon these | |||||||||||||
