| The participant will understand principles for using animals as models for human diseases, will have a knowledge of various types of animal models, and will be able to reflect over the predictability of a specific animal model. | |||||||||||

| The participant will after the course fulfill qualifications within animal models needed for qualification within animal experimentation on FELASA catgory D level | |||||||||||

| Animal Models of Parkinson's disease, pain, congenital disorders, memory, addiction, cancer, depression, allergy, infection, organ development, hypertension, atherosclerosis and transplantation models. Behavioural profiling of genetically modified mice. | |||||||||||
