Kursets målsætning |
Lectures and discussions about the most important diseases, being viral, bacterial and parasitic of importance of tropical livestock, i.e. ruminants (cattle, goats and sheep), pigs, poultry and fish. |

Kursusindhold |
The course gives an introduction to the viral, bacterial and parasitic diseases of relevance for tropical livestock. Furthermore, the possibilities for control of these diseases will be discussed in relation to the specific conditions tropical livestock kept in. Diseases with zoonotic aspects will be discussed as well. |

Undervisningsform |
Thematic lectures, where diseases characteristic of each livestock will be presented and discussed. The evaluation of the course will be based on group reports and their presentation in plenum |
