| Kursets målsætning |
| The course provides students with knowledge and skills about project establishment, appraisal and evaluation that are necessary in all types of work within international organisations and international aid agencies. |

| Kursusindhold |
| The course will provide students with comprehensive knowledge of project planning, appraisal, management and evaluation in LDCs. Along with actual and historical experiences in the field of aid projects to the developing countries, emphasis will be placed on economic analysis (cost-benefit analysis) of development and environment projects. The inter-relation between policy issues and project implementation and running will be dealt with and the socio-cultural aspect of project management will be touched upon |

| Undervisningsform |
| The course will be divided into two parts, lecturing (2 per week) and exercises (2 hours per week). The exercise hours will concentrate on applying the theoretical information that would be presented during the lectures and on quantitatively reviewing and evaluating actual projects in the LDCs. |
