The objective of the course is to equip students with the theoretical basis and the analytical tools needed to understand and analyse agri-food markets, marketing problems and organisation of the agri-food Industries. The course is based on the economic theory of industrial organisation applied to agricultural input markets, processing and distribution. | |||||||||||||||

The structure and organization of the agricultural and food markets are key for policy and business decision. The focus of this course is therefore the economic analysis and industrial economic policy of agricultural markets.Topics examined include: - oligopoly theory - spatial competition - vertical integration and vertical coordination - product innovation - consumer behaviour - marketing management | |||||||||||||||
